In February 2012, Apel installed and commissioned the new Miyano BNA-42DHY machine. Featuring two spindles and two turrets, the main turret with Y axis function, the BNA-42DHY enables rapid processing of complex workpieces. Simultaneous machining flexibility between the main and sub spindles allow overlapped operations significantly reducing machining time and eliminating idle time. The turrets feature a half-indexing mechanism and a tool holder that can be fitted with complex revolving tools at one position meaning you will never feel short of tools. All main turret stations are driven (max 2.8kW, 5000rpm). It has a compact footprint. Latest control system reduces idle time by 27% and machining time by 13% compared to previous model.
